My name is Nuha Khairy and I’m excited and honored to serve the MSCCA as President. My educational background includes Organizational Management and Project Management. I have 10+ years of experience as an HR professional, leading major projects at Qatar National Bank. Additionally, I co-founded The Sudanese Banker’s Association in Qatar, served on the board of The Sudanese Women Union-Ontario, and have been an active member of the Sudanese Women Association-Qatar. Upon settling in Canada in 2017, I followed my passion for home design and decoration, establishing my own business, DecoGenic Inc., which specializes in home staging and decorating in Mississauga. ​ In my commitment to making a difference, I look forward to working closely with the 2023-2024 MSCCA board as its president, aiming to provide the better lifestyle that Sudanese in various communities deserve!

My name is Hisham Shabbo, and I am honored to serve as the Vice President of the MSCCA. With a background in IT and portfolio management, my career has taken me across continents, from Europe to Asia, Africa, and North America. Having worked with esteemed organizations like The World Bank Group and the UN, I've had the privilege of witnessing the transformative power of community-driven initiatives firsthand. As a family man with two daughters and a son, I understand the importance of integration and prosperity for future generations. My dedication to community service is deeply rooted in my experiences working alongside diverse cultures and communities worldwide. I believe that by fostering unity, celebrating our culture, and engaging in meaningful initiatives, we can build a stronger, more connected community that benefits not only our members but also the broader Canadian society.

I'm Amani ElAsad, mother of 3, Architect & art-enthusiast. I've moved to Canada from Sudan in 2016. Previously, I have been engaged in multiple projects with Dar Almaygoma, Dar Alfityan & Dar Alfatayat in Sudan. I helped secure medical procedures, routine medication & personal hygiene products to underprivileged children. I look forward to working with this great team to serve the Sudanese community of Peel & Halton as head of the Project Management Office and co-General Secretary!

Rania Hashim

My name is Rania Hashim. I am thrilled to be re-elected as Treasurer under the MSCCA, as I am a strong enthusiast towards the potential of collaboration to further create prosperity, unity, and growth of our Sudanese community. I am a mother of two young adults (I like to say) and immigrated to Canada in 2021. As an FCCA professional, a visionary, and entrepreneur, I bring a wealth of financial expertise extending 20 years with a proven track record of leadership in the financial sector. I am quite eager to utilize my financial acumen to contribute to the association’s growth and long-term sustainability as I envision a future where our financial resources are strategically managed to further support our programs and initiatives effectively.

My name is Eman Gerais, and I have been in Canada for 7 years. I’m an entrepreneur and owner of Gerais Cargo, as well as one of the founders of Lets Events, a GTA-based event production company. My educational background is in Agricultural Sciences, Food Science, and Supply Chain/Logistics. My event management experience includes organizing creative events and celebrations at the UAE Embassy in Muscat for 10 years, being a founding member of Lets Events, as well as volunteering with the Social & Cultural office at the MSCCA to help organize a series of events. I’m excited to join the MSCCA board and contribute to its ongoing mission of serving the Sudanese community in Mississauga. With my skills, experience and passion, I’m ready to positively impact and support the organization's commitment to the community

As Director of Newcomers and Settlement at the Mississauga Sudanese Canadian Cultural Association (MSCCA), I empower newcomers through resources, programs, and cultural preservation. I hold a Master’s from Queen’s University’s Smith School of Business and a background in Mechanical Engineering, drawing on extensive rail industry and quality analytics experience. My volunteer work with the Sudanese Canadian Cultural Association and personal immigrant journey fuel my commitment to fostering community, opportunity, and lasting impact for new Canadians. I am honored to serve as the Director of Professional Development (volunteer) at the Mississauga Sudanese Canadian Cultural Association (MSCCA). With over 15 years of experience in Human Resources, I currently lead as the Head of HR at SKF Canada. My career has taken me to organizations around the world, where I’ve discovered my passion for helping people from all ages and backgrounds reach their full potential. I consider myself a positive and solution-driven individual who thrives on building connections and creating opportunities for others. As a mother of two boys who both play competitive soccer, I understand the value of perseverance, teamwork, and balance in life. In this role, my goal is to lead by example and give back to my community by supporting its growth and success. I’m excited to contribute to the MSCCA’s mission and make a lasting, positive impact on the Sudanese Canadian community.

My name is Ranya Elfil and I'm an ICT professional with over 15 years of experience in the field. I graduated with honors from University of Khartoum's Electrical & Electronical Engineering program, and hold an MBA from Manchester Business School. I'm also a co-founder of SICTA (Sudan ICT Advisory Group) a professional Sudanese Information and Communications Technology (ICT) group that's taking the initiative to help shape a viable ICT sector in Sudan. I Immigrated to Canada in 2015. I'm married to Mohamed ElBuluk and we share 4 amazing daughters. I am very passionate about driving change and contributing in any way to the betterment of our community and have had the honour to serve on the MSCCA since 2019. I'm looking forward to continue to serve The MSCCA as Head of Outreach of the 2024- 2025 board.

I am Community and Mental Health worker based in the Peel Region and Toronto. As the Director of the Youth Office of the Mississauga Sudanese-Canadian Cultural Association, I apply my experience in Mental Health education and advocacy to the MSCCA’s goals of increasing Youth professional and Personal Development opportunities.
